Government Assistance for Dental Care

The annual contribution is SEK 300 for individuals aged 30-64, while it is SEK 600 for those in the age brackets of 23-29 and 65 and older.

Dental insurance offers protection against substantial expenses. Specifically, if your costs range from SEK 3,001 to 15,000, you will receive a reimbursement of 50 percent; for expenses exceeding SEK 15,000, the reimbursement is 85 percent.

You are responsible for covering costs up to SEK 3,000 personally (excluding the portion that can be settled with the dental contribution). However, it's important to note that the reimbursement is calculated based on a predetermined reference price list, rather than the actual amount you pay at the dentist.

This reference price serves merely as a guideline, and the dentist's fees may be lower or higher than this benchmark.

Additionally, there exists a comprehensive set of regulations that outlines the dental care eligible for reimbursement under the dental care subsidy.
